We will be cruising around the marina for 4 hours total. From 5:00 pm-9:00 pm
To make your transition from the church to the marina as seamless as possible, we will be providing an Uber voucher for all of our guests. You are more than welcome to use this code to head straight to the water, but you are also completely free to drive your own vehicle if you prefer!
The boat will be cruising strictly within the protected waters of the marina, not the open ocean, so there will be very little movement and the ride will be very stable. However, just to be safe, we will have Dramamine, ginger chews, and other remedies on hand for anyone who might be extra sensitive. That said, we will also have an open bar, so please be cautious, sometimes it's the cocktails and not the waves! We want everyone to feel their best and enjoy the celebration to the fullest.
We love your little ones; however, since our reception will be held at sea, we have limited space for them to run freely. For their safety and comfort, we have decided to keep our celebration primarily adults-only. We are happy to make exceptions for those traveling long-distance or for other special cases, and children under the age of one are also welcome. Additionally, we love our pre-teens and teens, and they are more than welcome to join the party! If you have any questions regarding your specific situation, please feel free to reach out to us directly.
While we would love to celebrate with everyone, hosting our reception at sea means we have a very strict capacity and limited space on board. For those of you who have a plus one, they have been addressed on your invitation directly. We are carefully managing our guest count to ensure everyone is comfortable, but we are willing to consider exceptions if space allows, so it certainly doesn't hurt to ask us directly. Thank you for understanding as we navigate our ship's logistics!
Absolutely! We want all of our guests to be there with us because, to us, the Nuptial Mass is the most important part of the day. As for advice given to us by our nun, Sister Virginia, she says: "Please feel free to follow along with the sitting, standing, kneeling, and singing just like us crazy Catholics do!" We kindly ask that you do not participate in the Sacrament of Holy Communion (which is the part of the Mass where we receive the bread and wine) if you have not completed your First Communion in the Catholic Church. However, everyone is more than welcome to come forward to the front of the line; by crossing your hands across your chest to make an "X," the priest or officiant will know to give you a special blessing instead. Please know that you are not required to get a blessing and are more than welcome to remain in your seat. We are so grateful to have you join us for this sacred moment!
The ceremony will be held indoors. For the wedding reception, it is a bit of both since we will have access to the inside and outside of the boat so there are different areas to enjoy.
Formal attire. There is no specific color scheme, so please feel free to wear any color just not white! Be sure to choose something comfortable enough to board a boat, and we recommend a light coat or wrap for the ocean breeze.
Yes.
Crucial for boat weddings: Unlike a hall, the boat has a strict "all aboard" time. If you miss the gangway, you may miss the wedding! Take off is at 5:00pm so please join us there at 4:00pm to ensure you are there.
Once the boat departs the dock at 5:00 pm, we cannot return until the end of the event.
Parking is available at the Fisherman’s Village lot (Marina Lot 1) located at 13755 Fiji Way. The lot is conveniently situated right at the docks and features electronic pay stations that accept both cash and credit cards. Guests should expect to pay up to $8, and the receipt must be displayed clearly on the vehicle dashboard. Validation is not required, and those wishing to leave their vehicles overnight may do so for up to seven nights, provided the daily rate is paid.
We highly recommend Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). With traffic, Burbank might as well be in another state!
