Parker and Lauren met in September of 2021. They were both working in Magic Kingdom. They had seen each other before in the tunnels underneath the park. One day in a backstage cafe, Parker decided to speak to Lauren. He complimented her Spider-Man backpack. This sparked a conversation that lasted the rest of the day. The next day, Parker and Lauren hung out after work. The next night was their first date. Parker invited Lauren over and cooked dinner for her. Days later, Parker asked Lauren to be his girlfriend. They dated for just over three years before he proposed.

In December of 2024, Parker and Lauren had a handful of friends come in from out of town. They decided to make a big group outing of going to a theme park. Lauren’s favorite Orlando theme park is Animal Kingdom. Parker had been secretly planning a scavenger hunt to lead Lauren to the front of the Tree of Life, where he would ask her to marry him. Parker worked with friends to make and print out clues. He had friends stationed around the park. The scavenger hunt was disguised as an activity for Parker’s sister Hayley, as her birthday was the previous week. Lauren “helped” Hayley with the clues, following them around the park. The path Parker devised took them in the shape of a ring before leading to the final spot. From the Wilderness Explorers Outpost, to Dinoland USA, to Finding Nemo the musical, Expedition Everest, Kilimanjaro Safari, Festival of the Lion King, Pandora the world of Avatar, Creature Comforts, to the Tree of Life. Each stop along the way, they picked up a friend. Some Lauren knew had accompanied them, some she didn’t know were there. In the end, their group had grown to 12 people. Once they got to the Tree of Life, Hayley took Lauren’s bag. Her best friend Nikki tweaked her hair before turning her around to reveal Parker down on one knee. He read a prepared speech before revealing the ring to her, and asking her to marry him. She said yes while crying, to the cheer of their friends.
