We met during our sophomore year at Florida State University, living just two doors down from each other. Life in our little corner of campus was always eventful—his apartment had a lovable golden retriever puppy, and mine had a very vocal husky who made sure the whole building knew when he was home alone. One day, Parker and his roommates left a note on our door, offering to help with the dog anytime we needed. That simple, thoughtful gesture sparked a friendship, which quickly turned into something more. And now, here we are—grateful for Florida State, noisy dogs, and that one note that started it all.
