We met thanks to a mutual friend. While Parker and Tyler had been friends for a long time, Tyler and Jessi had met through a student conference and asked the girls to come visit Stoney Creek church where he led worship. After church a group went to eat at China House, a local Chinese restaurant in Goldsboro. It was definitely not love at first sight. But a friendship was beginning to form.

In the summer of 2018, we started hanging out more. We realized that there was possibly something more, but we both knew that I, Jessi, was planning on moving to Texas to help plant a church. On November 25th, Parker asked me to be his girlfriend for the next three days... well three days turned into a little longer. Jessi did have a lapse in judgment, but finally came back to her senses to realize how amazing Parker truly is. Unfortunately during the pandemic, Jessi's grandma passed, bringing her back to Kinston while the world was shut down. Even though Jessi's family was going through heart ache, we were able to truly reconnect. In July of 2020, Parker came to visit Texas. He kept saying the whole time, we are not dating while you still live in Texas (understandable since it didn't work the first time). But... we officially started dating on August 15th. And no... I had not moved back yet.

We're sure that most of you know that Jessi was not shy about telling Parker she was ready for a ring. She kept showing her left hand to parker and every nail appointment said all it needs to make it perfect is a ring! Little did she know how soon it was coming. Jessi had friends from Kentucky coming to visit and a planned was formed between them, Harley, and Parker. Harley told Jessi that she wanted some updated pictures so Kayla was going to take them for us. Kayla and Emilee did our hair and makeup. Hyped us up the entire day. The girls decided that the best place to go was downtown Goldsboro on Center Street.... still, Jessi is oblivious to everything going on. While at the "Make a Wish" mural, Harley had Jessi turn around and wipe her eyes. When Jessi turned around, Parker was there on one knee, and asked.... "Jessica Grace Williams, will you marry me?" Dumfounded, Jessi asked Are you serious, and then did you ask my parents? Parker responded with a sarcastic, what do you think, and how do you think I got your grandma's diamond? One thing Jessi had told Parker, was that she wanted my grandma's diamond. So that made the moment even more special.
