Our story began long before we ever went on a date. For years we shared mutual friends, crossed paths here and there, and most importantly, never missed wishing each other happy birthday on Facebook. In early 2016, things finally started to fall into place when I bumped into one of Parker's best buds, Darrius, at a bar. He casually mentioned something about Parker, and a few texts later, our story officially began - just weeks before I was about to leave for a six-week Australian adventure. After our first hangout, it was clear we were on the same page, and we spent nearly every day together that week before I left. Despite the 18-hour time difference, we talked the entire time I was away (Parker’s 5am Starbucks shifts lined up perfectly with my late nights abroad). When I returned home, I was greeted by a bouquet of my favorite flowers at my door, and a few weeks later, we officially started dating. Since then, we have built a beautiful life side-by-side. We navigated busy university years filled with hockey, part time jobs, friends, and family, always finding time for each other (maybe even a little bit too much). In 2019, we moved out together for the first time and embraced student life near campus, and a few years later, we bought our first home, which has been our cozy little haven ever since. Not long after, our family grew with the addition of our pup, Norman, who keeps us laughing, busy, and constantly entertained. Along the way, we have shared many adventures together, including travelling to eight countries, countless road trips out west, and lots of time spent in the mountains, by the water, trying new restaurants, and playing games. We’ve also cheered each other on through many big milestones, from landing our first “real” jobs to Parker earning his very well-deserved CPA designation. Over nearly a decade, we’ve built a strong, loving foundation full of laughter, support, and unforgettable memories. We’re so excited to celebrate this next chapter and cannot wait for a lifetime together!!
