Parker and I met in high school, where he asked me to homecoming junior year, but not before he clarified it was "just as friends.” We had such a fun time, and not long after, he texted me to say he liked me and wanted to go on a real date. I turned him down…. but he didn’t give up. He showed up at my locker every single day, talking to me between every class, and just refusing to take no as an answer. About a month later, I finally agreed to go get something to eat with him. We ended up sitting in Chick-fil-A talking for so long they had to ask us to leave because they were trying to close. After that, we were basically inseparable. Fast forward five and a half years, after lots of baseball, several years of long distance, two college degrees, and so many amazing memories, Parker proposed at a spot on Dauphin Island that is so special to us. Now we’re getting ready to start the next chapter as husband and wife, and we couldn’t be more excited.
