It’s so wild to think that the person you would spend your life with was always just out of your reach until one day, fate or destiny struck and our worlds collided. Parker and Caitlin grew up in the same area, knew a lot of the same people, went to a lot of the same places and even had multiple shared experiences but none of them brought them together. We’re talking coincidences like going to the same Orlando Magic basketball camp, Parker’s cousins Alex and Chloe going to school with Caitlin and on many occasions Parker would be only feet away in a car in the parking lot of this tiny school in maitland while she played on the playground or ran around the gym. They even had some of the same friends and frequented locations like Wekiva Island. But even with all these circumstances and more, it wasn’t until 2021 that they finally crossed paths. Our story started the day we met in the back of an ambulance, with Parker on overtime and Caitlin and her partner Ben covering west side. I believe the both of us can thank Leesburg for hosting that fair and for their wires being a trip hazard causing some unsuspecting abuela to fall, requiring a lift assist that turned into a transport. That moment in the back of the ambulance when our eyes locked, it was like a whole new world had opened up and everything just made sense. A few months later, Parker was working a 96 hour shift and Caitlin had been mandated to work at his station, they spent hours talking in that bay at 63, watching the planes take off and making memories over basketball games. It was at the end of this shift that Parker asked Caitlin to go on a date and from that day on, they have been inseparable ever since.
