We were both living in Federal Hill in 2018 when a mutual friend (shout-out to Michele!) introduced us at Parker's St. Patrick's Day party. We hit it off immediately and couldn't stop making each other laugh.
I proposed to Bethany on Christmas Eve at a family get-together at Mariner's Country Down. I told Barry, Jennifer, and Garrett about the plan and did my best to act natural so that I would catch Bethany by surprise. As we were getting ready, Bethany came downstairs wearing an ugly Christmas sweater with a Llama plastered on the front. I knew she would never forgive me if I let her wear that sweater for our proposal. Luckily, while I was trying to figure out how to tell her to change without raising red flags, Jennifer saw the sweater and saved the day, demanding Bethany go back upstairs and change. At the party, in the chaos of getting everyone together for a group picture, I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me.
