During their junior and senior years, Hannah and Ian lived in adjacent buildings on the same part of campus. They would occasionally see each other in passing, through mutual friends, and while serving on campus. In the Fall of 2023, Ian started catching Hannah's eye to which she started referring to him as her "heart sparkle." In January of 2024, they went on a ski trip with some of their friends where their heart sparkles became mutual after accidentally getting separated from the group for a couple hours on top of a mountain! In April, Hannah and Ian started their journey as boyfriend and girlfriend. After graduating with an engineering degree, Ian stayed in Lynchburg, VA to work while Hannah finished her senior year at Liberty. In May of 2025, Hannah moved to Florida post grad for a job. After four months of long distance dating, Ian and Hannah decided that was ENOUGH and to make this a forever union. During one of her visits to Lynchburg, while driving to a date at a beautiful vineyard, Hannah thought this could be the moment he proposes! To throw her off the scent, Ian crushed her spirits by telling her that the engagement was not happening that weekend. Ian proposed, of course, and the weekend was filled with lots of tears, excitement, celebration, and love. Most of all, they celebrated the goodness of God and how He had brought them to this point. By the grace of God, Hannah and Ian will start life together in Virginia as Ian continues his engineering career at BWX Technologies and Hannah works remotely with MetLife Insurance. They are overjoyed about being closer to family, the provision of job security, continuing membership at Bedrock Church, and beginning the journey of FOREVER with one another!
