We made the difficult decision to change our wedding to a smaller ceremony with just our immediate family. We will have a larger celebration once the COVID pandemic comes to an end. We met through our friends while we were in undergrad. He was pursuing his Bachelor's at Troy University and I was pursuing mine at Auburn University. Now that we think about it our friends were true matchmakers. My friend and I met in the lab and she told about her boyfriend's friend and how we should meet. All the while her boyfriend was talking me up to him. One weekend he and his friends came to Auburn for a party that weekend and that is when Manny and I met. We made small talk that night and exchanged numbers. Our first date was to see the movie Transcendence. I think this is where Manny realized that we would spend many times going to the movies, one of my favorite past times. I'm sure if there was a skating rink in Auburn or Troy we would've spent many times there too but I still recognized that I'd better figure out how to balance on eight wheels. Manny and I have spent 5 years learning and loving each other and we are beyond blessed to have found one another. We have gone from being a friend of a friend, true strangers, to being inseparable.
