Should I bring my Lightsaber?

Yes! Great question, so glad you asked! We are planning on doing a lightsaber sendoff! If you have a lightsaber that you’re willing to bring to the event, ESPECIALLY if it’s more realistic (neopixel, galaxy’s edge, combat sabers etc.- we want to have you at the front of the send off line!) please email parisdirscherl@gmail.com and bring your saber to the wedding. We’ll be sure to have our photographer get some professional pictures of you with your lightsaber too! We’re working on assembling some extra sabers for the sendoff for everyone as well.

What group dances should I be practicing?

Another great question! So glad we’re all on the same page! One of Paris’s pet peeves is when people don’t dance at weddings. We are planning to PARTY! And dance like there’s no tomorrow. Group dances are a great way to do this! The following are dances (with tutorials linked) that we highly recommend you brush up on! Alicia, a member of Paris’ Bridal Party is a dance instructor and expert line dancer. When should I RSVP by?

September 1st! That will give us enough time to confirm final numbers with the venue.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
The ceremony starts at 4 sharp! We recommend arriving at the venue by 3:30 at the latest. That way you have plenty of time to find parking, get a seat, and have a few minutes to meet some of our other favorite people before the ceremony kicks off. We have access to the location all day, so feel free to arrive even earlier if that’s your style. Please note that the “Morris center for the performing arts” and the Palais Royale Historic Ballroom are connected in the same building and no transportation is required to move between the two. The ceremony is slated to take place in the hallway to the theatre with the reception in the ballroom. Both are connected and in the same building.

Where should I park?
Answer
We highly encourage you to download the app SpotHero. This app will give you very cheap parking rates near our venue. Just simply download the app, make an account, and type in "Morris Center for the Performing Arts" in the search bar to see what parking is available in the surrounding area. If the app says that no spots are available, there is a parking garage at Colfax & Maine, located at 126 N Main St, South Bend, IN 46601. Another option is the Leighton Parking Garage, located at 109 W Jefferson Blvd, South Bend, IN 46601.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?
Answer
Yes! There is a big Notre Dame football game Saturday night. If you are planning on staying anywhere near the venue Saturday night, it’s going to be chaotic and expensive. The Wedding Parties have booked air bnbs slightly further away to avoid traffic and are planning on being away from South Bend proper. We do have a few hotel rooms left in a room block a half hour from the venue, so feel free to email Andrew if you need any assistance or have questions about that! Will there be alcohol?
Answer
There will be a cash bar at the wedding. After the ceremony we will move to the coffee and cocktail hour. Coffee is provided for all guests, alcohol can be purchased for anyone wanting to drink. There will be a bartender active from 5-9 pm.
