A genuine 21st-century love story began on the dating app Dil Mil, ultimately leading us to be one. Our first date was spent talking for hours, losing track of time, and feasting on falafels. Our shared passion for food became a recurring theme, leading to several dates exploring different restaurants. As we shared these wonderful moments, I started to fall for the most down-to-earth and loving guy in this entire world. After realizing that the key to my heart is food, Parin planned our first trip to DC where we hopped restaurant after restaurant, enjoying new experiences along the way. Each day spent together deepened my love for him and I started to imagine our lives together.

On our first date, I remember watching this amazing, beautiful, and confident girl walking towards me in a black dress. I was in trouble!! From getting lost in conversation and missing our one and only dinner reservation to watching her make a mess of a falafel sandwich, I knew very soon that I had found the woman of my dreams. After a fun and adventure-filled of couple of years, I started planning a proposal with Vidhi’s help. I decided to propose in Washington, where I had asked her out the very first time. Under the guise of attending a medical conference, I planned a perfect surprise and asked Avani to come meet me after the conference. As I waited and watched her walk across the narrow pathway towards me, I felt just as mesmerized as I did on our first date. I went down on one knee and could hardly contain myself when the words “YES” escaped her lips. #FOREVER. I put the ring on her finger, and we were greeted by a loud cheer from tourists across the lake and our family standing before us! Now I can't wait to take the next step with Avani on April 21st, 2024. We are so blessed to be able to share the joy with all of you as we begin the next chapter of our lives together.
