Despite my pleas to create a fake story, most of you know me and Paolo met online. We had our first date on August 25, 2022. We went mini-golfing, and when we arrived, I quickly realized I had not mini-golfed since childhood. So naturally, I asked him to turn around while I made my first putt. We spent the rest of the time laughing, and he soon realized I was a mini-golf natural. We then went to a hole-in-the-wall bar, and though we were clearly outsiders, we had the most fun. Our relationship has continued to be just like our first date, full of fun and laughter. We welcomed our daughter, Athena, into the world on April 30th, 2024. Our lives have only gotten better (and way more exciting) since Athena was born. She’s our favorite third wheel, our tiniest cheerleader, and the best reminder of everything we love about each other. From spontaneous adventures to quiet nights at home with Athena, every moment has been a reminder that we are building something real, beautiful, and full of joy. As we get ready to say “I do,” we’re grateful for the beautiful little family we’ve created and for the friends and family who have supported us along the way.
