We always knew of each other, but we never thought of the idea of dating, until 2014. We went on our first date to Chili’s and that’s when it all began. Within this first date we both felt like it was something special and different, something we had never felt before. Months of going out on dates, Ricky finally asked me to be his girlfriend. At this time our like began to turn into love and it was amazing. Through the years we have grown together and had accomplishments, but one thing was for sure Ricky always made sure to keep me laughing. Fast forward to 2017 and we had one of our greatest accomplishments together and that was graduating from Salisbury University. Then on December 21, 2018 that’s when everything changed. We had dinner reservations for Ricky’s birthday, and I remember he told me “we have to make a stop somewhere” and I was so confused. We drove to this building and I thought to myself “umm why are we here if there was nothing there”. Mind you I don’t have the greatest of memories and didn’t realize it was the Chili’s where we had our very first date. He told me to get out of the car and I was like “no it is dark and there was nothing there” but he kept insisting. He then got down on one knee and I began to freak out, I said to him “no you’re lying, get up, get up” and try to pull him up. If you all know Ricky, you know he definitely is a jokester, so I thought it was all a prank. He said to me “Paola, for my birthday would you give me the greatest gift and be my wife” I know it’s so cheesy but yet I found it to be the sweetest thing. Fast forward to now and we are finally getting married! COVID definitely took us by surprise as we are sure it did to everyone and with having to postpone our wedding, we just can’t wait to be able to share our love with our family and friends!
