Once upon a time, there was a voice. A voice that echoed through a room full of young people and stirred something deep inside. Not only musically, but also in the heart of a man who, at that moment, was discovering another country, on another continent. In 2017, Taizo went on exchange to Querétaro, where he joined the university choir. And there, in one of the first rehearsals, it happened. Pao stepped forward. She sang the soprano solo from The Lion King. Circle of Life. First it was a voice, then a smile… and finally, a kiss under a lantern that changed everything. Soon our relationship became official and, although distance was a challenge, we always found a way to be close: endless phone calls, first trip together to Canada to visit Pao's uncle Gregors and auntie Janush, then with Pao's exchange in Ravensburg, Taizo’s frequent visits to Mexico. Finally in 2021, Pao moved to Magdeburg to start her Marketing master’s degree, just a little closer to Taizo, who was studying his own Aerospace master’s in in Munich. In November 2023, we decided to start building our home (nuestra casita) together in Munich. Life was a bit chaotic, adjusting to living together, but always filled with love and respect. Months later, in June, with the help of his best friend Sato, Taizo planned the proposal disguised as a photo shoot. At sunset, in the middle of the Alster in Hamburg, our song began to play and, on a sailboat, Taizo asked: “¿Quieres casarte conmigo?” (Will you marry me?) Pao, with a smile and tears in her eyes, said “Sí” (Yes). And now, to continue this story, we’re excited to celebrate our big day with family and friends from all over the world. Thank you for joining us on this journey. Pictures by: Zee (IG: zanetachinas_photography)
