Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Rebecca Panwala and Noah Sciambra
French Quarter

French Quarter

New Orleans, LA

Considered the Crown Jewel of the city, the French Quarter is one of the main attractions of New Orleans. Some must-see & do experiences in the walkable European-esque neighborhood include visiting St. Louis Cathedral, Jackson Square, the French Market, Royal Street, and of course the notorious Bourbon Street. Some Bars we recommend are Pat O'Brien's Bar, the Carousel Bar, and Manolito's. Some activities we recommend are the Natchez Steamboat Mississippi River tour, the Mardi Gras Museum of Costumes and Culture, and the M.S. Rau Art Gallery. Some Restaurants we recommend are GW Fins ($$$), Muriel's ($$$), Oceana ($-$$), and Ruby Slipper Cafe ($-$$). There is a surplus of wonderful restaurants, bars, food, drink, and live music to appreciate in the French Quarter, and no matter where you go you're bound to have an unforgettable time! Laissez les bon temps rouler!

City Park

City Park

New Orleans, LA

Located North of the French Quarter and closer to Lake Pontchartrain, the New Orleans City Park is one of our favorite areas in the city! In addition to its beautiful Oak trees, Spanish moss, and small areas of preserved wetlands, City Park has a number of attractions such as the New Orleans Museum of Art and free sculpture garden, the New Orleans Botanical Garden, the Louisiana's Children's Museum, Cafe Du Monde, Carousel Gardens Amusement Park, Storyland, City Park snoball stand, City Bark Dog Park, City Putt miniature golf, a number of walking trails, and fun boating and bike rentals! There are a number of restaurants just outside of City Park near the lakeview area such as Reginelli's Pizzeria, Another Broken Egg Cafe, and Lakeview Pearl Sushi for those looking for a bite to eat nearby! We highly recommend City Park as a relaxing escape from the city hustle and bustle of the Big Easy!

Frenchmen Street

Frenchmen Street

Frenchmen Street, New Orleans, LA

We recommend visiting Frenchmen Street, a slightly slower-paced experience compared to Bourbon street, with more locals! You'll hear a variety of live music both on the street and at the local bars/clubs such as Cafe Negril, Blue Nile, The Spotted Cat Music Club, The Apple Barrel, 30/90, Bamboula's, and more! Or grab something to eat at restaurants such as Adolfo's (more formal), Dat Dog (casual), or Margot's (casual)! There are a number of places to shop and appreciate local art such as the Frenchmen Art Bazaar, Frenchmen Art and Books, and Louisiana Music Factory!

Audubon Exhibits

Audubon Exhibits

1 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70130
, (504) 565-3033

New Orleans' has a newly renovated Audubon Aquarium and Insectarium, as well as a world-renowned zoo! We think it's a great experience for animal lovers and families, not too far from the French Quarter!

Bywater Neighborhood

Bywater Neighborhood

New Orleans, LA

Considered a more artsy district in New Orleans, not far from the French Quarter, the Bywater Neighborhood is a great place to spend an afternoon! Take an afternoon stroll along the Mississippi River at Crescent Park, or through the neighborhood to appreciate the eclectic houses and local art. We recommend checking out some of the neighborhood eating staples such as the Bywater Bakery, Satsuma Cafe, Bacchanal Wine Shop, Elizabeth's Restaurant, The Joint BBQ, The Bywater Country Club, and St. Roch Market. For those interested in the arts, we recommend stopping by Studio Be, The Music Box Village, JAMNOLA, or Vaughan's Lounge!

Warehouse District

Warehouse District

New Orleans, LA

The Warehouse District has converted brick warehouses housing innovative restaurants, eclectic boutiques, and coffee shops. Two key attractions we recommend are the renowned National WWII Museum and Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Some restaurants we recommend are Flamingo-a-Go-Go, Sofia Nola, Willa Jean, and Emeril's! Bars to check out include Lucy's Retired Surfers Bar & Restaurant, Republic NOLA, Howlin' Wolf, and Barcadia Bar & Grill
