Dan and I met on a Saturday night in September only a few weeks into college. It was the first Saturday we both separately decided not to go to a slimy frat party, and were hanging out in the Cayuga dorm lounge. My phone was (CLASSIC) about to die and my besties (Megan & Mag 😃) were android gang and didn't have a charger I could use. So HERE COMES DAN. I spot a tall drink of water on the opposite side of the lounge, playing ping pong with another guy (queue Billy Bong). I asked if either of them had an iphone charger and Dan said there was one in his room if I wanted to go grab it. ALONE. Come on Dan, you didn't know you should have escorted your future wife to your room to get her a charger? You're better than that. So I get up to room 307s and who do I see? A shorter drink of water, the almighty everlasting Dion. In full form, playing videos games at his desk. He got the charger for me and afterwards we all hung out for hours in the lounge. Throughout the years of dating I learned Marina's favorite things are enjoying great food and spending quality time with friends and family! On June 3rd, 2023 I decided to combine all of these things together into a day we'd never forget. The day started with a train ride to the city for some dumps downtown. Then we smelled the roses as we walked to a bar to shatter a glass or two. After Break Bar, we moved to the Lobster Boat for a romantic cruise around the city. We hiked the highline shortly after docking which set up the main event! As we approached the end of the highline, I received a call from Kenna (I called him) saying he was at Pier 57 and that we should meet him there. As Marina was questioning me on the legitimacy of Kenna's location, Marina's friends were setting up a beautiful rose petaled heart on top of Pier 57. When we arrived, I got down on one knee (blacked out) and professed my love for Marina to the screaming cheers of her close friends in attendance. We can not wait to share the start of this beautiful new chapter in our lives with ALL of you! See you at the Castle to celebrate!
