Flight Information

NYC has three convenient airports; LaGuardia Airport (LGA), John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). LGA is the closest airport to the venue location and our personal favorite, as it is the most updated airport. JFK is more outdated, although the airport connects to the Long Island Railroad (LIRR) and the MTA subway, providing a lower cost transportation option. EWR is the furthest from venue location, ~50 minute car commute depending on time of day, but is still a viable option when planning your flights. Travel out of the airport through verified Uber or Lyft is worth it, although can cost ~$80 depending on time of day.

Train

City Transportation

It is not recommended to rent a car in NYC. Learning the subway system can seem daunting, although is it the cheapest and oftentimes most convenient and fastest mode of transportation in the city. Uber and Lyft are also common modes of transportation, especially if you are not near a subway station. Taxis are available, although not as common as they used to be, and can have more unpredictable prices. SUBWAY To pay your fare at subway stations, simply tap your own contactless credit/debit card or smart device at the turnstile. Your weekly fares is capped at $34 when you tap the same card or device for every ride. If you spend $34 within seven days, you ride free for the rest of the cap period. If you spend less, you only pay for the rides you take (~$2.90 per ride). Depending how long you are staying in the city/using the transit system, it is possible to reach that $34 cap during your short stay in NYC. DAY OF EVENT If you are staying at a hotel not within walking distance to our venue, is it suggested that you gain transportation through Uber or Lyft. Unfortunately, transit is not seamless to and from venue location, as the subway system in Brooklyn is not as widespread as it is in Manhattan.

Hotel

The Box House Hotel

77 Box Street, Greenpoint, NY 11222
 (718) 383-3800

The Box Hotel is next door to our venue, Milk & Roses. This is a convenient stay for venue purposes. It is more difficult to sight see Manhattan at this location however, as public transit can be inconvenient in this part of Brooklyn,

Hotel

citizenM New York Bowery hotel

This is a great stay for couples. They have a rooftop bar and are located in a great area, conveniently located near subway transportation and in a walkable area.

House Or Rental

Airbnb/Vrbo

Airbnb and Vrbo have a variety of stays throughout NYC. We recommend staying in the following boroughs/neighborhoods: Manhattan - Lower East Side - Upper East Side - Upper West Side - Greenwich - SOHO - Chelsea - West Village - Financial District - Tribeca - East Village Brooklyn - Dumbo - Williamsburg - Park Slope - Bedford-Stuyvesant (this is where we live!) - Clinton Hill Having an Airbnb close to a subway station will make the stay more enjoyable. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have questions regarding an area and want some insight.
