Once upon a time, Pani's Ayyám-i-Há gift to herself was moving into her own flat on Golomb Avenue in Haifa. Little did she know the greatest gift would be having the opportunity to meet her zone manager who offered to help her move and would later become the manager of her heart <3 and greatest helpmate. P+F's friendship developed naturally during the 19-Day Fast, with Fena supporting Pani's tradition of daily rhymes and having a few opportunities to either start or break the fast together with mutual friends and neighbors. On Naw-Rúz, Fena even left a plant outside Pani's door, which is still thriving by the way more than a year later. A very good sign and a symbol of the life they are building together, one might say. Fena had no intentions of getting to know someone at the World Centre but knew he would regret it if he didn't tell Pani how much he admired the qualities he saw in her. To her surprise, she didn't run in the opposite direction but appreciated not only the way he wore his heart on his sleeve but how detached he was from however she might respond. She couldn't help but be drawn to him too. Wait a little minute. Fena had been accepted into a PhD program and even received a scholarship after a few years of trying and was supposed to leave the World Centre in December. Now what? He ultimately decided that his relationship with Pani was more valuable than any degree. Fena would show Pani over and over again, in word and deed, how much he loved her unconditionally and cared for her well-being. Pani would find her love and respect for Fena multiplying with each crisis and victory they shared.
