Travel Note
We have listed a range of popular accommodation options that are in close proximity to the venue. In terms of areas, we highly recommend Glyfada. This area has many restaurants and shops in walking distance. Glyfada is extremely popular in the summer months so we suggest booking your hotel as soon as possible.

Travel Note
If you are traveling with a large group, we recommend looking into Airbnb or Vrbo. There are plenty of choices in the Vouliagmeni and Voula area that could host multiple families.
Travel Note
The Athens Airport Taxi Service is a great option for transportation upon arrival. There will be a line of taxi cars at the arrivals exit doors 1 and 5. Ubers are usually the easiest and cheapest way to get around Athens during your trip. Typically it is a taxi but booked through the Uber app. This avoids regular street taxis up-charging your fare since you are a “tourist”. Using Uber allows you to pay with your credit card and avoid using euros. If you plan to island hop outside of Athens, Ubers and taxis are not easily available on the islands.
Rental Car
We do not recommend driving a rental car in Athens, it’s chaotic! If you are planning to go to an island, rental cars can be a good option. Each island is different, the beaches might not be in close proximity to the main city. We recommend doing research on the specific island. Or just ask us!
Travel Note
Travel as light as possible!!! Ideally this means trying to avoid checking a large suitcase. The cars/taxis/Ubers are small. It is hard to accommodate multiple passengers and large suitcases. A carry on bag and a large backpack or personal item is best. If you plan to island hop, it is difficult to handle large suitcases and multiple bags on the ferry and through the small cobblestone streets. Europe uses different outlet converters. You can purchase these on Amazon. Euros are the currency of Greece. Most banks can order Euros for you in advance if given 2-3 weeks notice. We do not recommend converting a large amount of money at the airport, they will not give you a fair rate Using a credit card is always easiest. Make sure your card has no foreign transaction fees. A lot of places do not accept AMEX cards. It is always good to carry some euros for small purchases and tips. You can use any ATM and withdrawal from your account with a small fee.
