Question

What do I wear?!

Answer

Please wear whatever makes you feel like yourself and ready to celebrate! We understand everyone has different preferences - we know you all and love you for it :) If you relish an opportunity to dress up, go for it. If you absolutely hate the idea of wearing a jacket, tie, dress or heels, please don't. Looking for another chance to wear that bedazzled jumpsuit? We love it. Want to embrace the art deco vibes of the venue? We dare you. Just hoping you blend in and that your waistband is compatible with cake? We respect it. Everything you own covered in dog hair/cat fur? Samesies. If not having a strict dress code triggers your anxiety, please just ask us and we will be happy to give you some guardrails :) Note that if you aren't familiar with LA, the days are warm and nights will be cool. The ceremony and reception will be outside (rooftop), with average temps for the time of year being around high of 79 and low of 60. We will have heaters in case it gets too chilly, but you may want to bring something to cover up later in the evening depending on your comfort level.

Question

Will we be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both! But mostly outdoors - the ceremony and reception will be on the rooftop patio, with cocktail hour inside the penthouse (although you'll have indoors access throughout the event, where the bar is located). We will have heaters outside in case it gets chilly, and in case we experience one of LA's rare rainy days, the venue has a beautiful clear tent that covers the patio which still allows a sky view :)

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

We have listed several hotels on the Hotels page of this site that are within walking distance to our venue, and highly encourage our out-of-town guests to stay nearby for convenience (and to minimize your experience of LA's infamous traffic). Otherwise, we encourage everyone to use rideshare or taxi services to allow everyone to have a safe and comfortable evening. If you will be driving, below are some nearby parking options - note these are independently owned and operated and no affiliated with The Oviatt, which unfortunately does not have any onsite parking. 1. 616 Olive St – Joe’s Parking Lot (open lot) right across the street – Anywhere from $10-$20 for full day 2. 606 S Olive St – 606 S Olive, located on 6th street (garage)– Anywhere from $10-$20 for full day - $5 after 4:00 PM typically 3. 631 S Olive St - The Olive (garage) - $8 - $20 - No new vehicles enter aIer 4 PM but is a 24 hr garage with security to grab car at any time 4. 532 Olive St – Pershing Square Parking Garage (covered lot)- $25/day, hourly prices vary
