What's the attire?

All Black and/or White... wear your old wedding dress... come as a Panda or soccer ball... seriously, no one cares, just keep it BLACK and/or WHITE! =) Please be mindful of footwear. We will be outside on grass and sloped ground, so heals won't be the best choice (sorry ladies and fab gents!) Flats of all kind (sneakers included) are entirely acceptable. We want our guests to feel comfortable and have the ability to dance throughout the night. =)

Where can we park?

Answer

We now have enough parking spaces available on site to accommodate ALL GUESTS, though we still recommend using rideshares, (e.g. - Uber/Lyft), or carpooling with other guests, where possible. We ask guests who will be camping at the house the night of the 13th to please arrive at least one hour before the event start time (that means by 3pm) to ensure we can get your cars parked and out of the way of guests who will not be staying overnight. We do NOT recommend parking along Middletown Rd, as it can be a very busy street. The Berlin Fair will also be going on the same weekend, so traffic on the street may get busier than normal. Across Middletown Rd and down the hill, there is a quiet dead end street, Renee Drive. Parking on this street and walking over can be an option, but to avoid inconveniencing neighbors or crossing a busy street, we don't recommend this option, unless it is the only one available at the time of your arrival.

Did you say CAMPING???

Answer

YES! We will be allowing guests to tent camp on-site, if they would like to stay the night to avoid driving. OR If you prefer an actual roof over your head, there will be room for a few air mattresses in our studio space. There may be a limited number of spaces for tent camping/studio slumber, but please don't hesitate to ask!

Can we bring our kids?

Answer

Sure! We love all your kids! We also know parents like to have fun nights out without them sometimes =) If your kid knows us, it is 100% up to you, as the parent, whether or not you would like to include them in the day's festivities. For those who plan to attend with kids, we intend on hiring a responsible young adult to help parents keep tabs on all kids in attendance. Please let us know with your RSVP if you plan on bringing kids. Please provide a headcount and list of ages, so we can plan accordingly for you.

Can we bring food or drinks?

Answer

YES! This is our house, so we make the rules! FOOD - We will have finger foods, handheld items and BBQ offered throughout the night, but feel free to BYOF or even make your favorite dish to share! DRINKS - We will have some beer, RTD's, wine and cocktails provided with bartender service, but again, don't be afraid to BYOB too!

From which direction is easiest to arrive at your house?

From ROUTE 9 NORTH or SOUTH: Take exit 32 and follow directions to 239 Middletown Rd from the Berlin Turnpike (Route 15) From Berlin Turnpike/Route 15: Follow directions to Middletown Rd. 239 Middletown Rd is located at the top of the hill on the LEFT. Blue-grey house with a porch. There is normally an American Flag on a post at our neighbors ACROSS the street. We recommend following directions FROM THE BERLIN TURNPIKE (ROUTE 15) because if you've been to our house before, you know the angle of our driveway is a bitch when driving from the opposite direction - driving up the hill. Also - due to the Berlin Fair, the intersection at Middletown Rd and Mill St (Rt 372) may be blocked off completely. We recommend following these directions to avoid the hassle.

OMG! Funny you should ask that! =) Our good friend and guest, DJ Mckernan, is the FUNDrive Coordinator for Cromwell BSA Troop 26 and he will be collecting clothes of all styles and sizes, along with household items and old media to help raise money for his son's Boy Scout troop. Their goal: - 193 Tall Kitchen Bags of clothing - 38 Medium boxes (household goods).
