What should I wear to the sangeet?

Answer

Wear something fun and colorful! For men, suits, Indian party wear, and dress shirts are acceptable. For women, dresses, lehengas, sarees, and salwaar kameez are acceptable. I have attached some websites that sell sarees and lehengas. What should I wear to the Sikh wedding ceremony?

Answer

We suggest dressing in something modest and cultural. For women, we suggest long dresses with covered shoulders, Punjabi suits, or pants with longer shirts. For men, we suggest dress shirts, suits, or Indian kurta pajama. For the ceremony, we ask that guests prepare to cover their heads. We will provide rumaals for men and chunnis for women. Keep in mind you will be sitting on the floor during the ceremony, so wear something comfortable. What if I can't wear something Indian?

Answer

No worries! We want our guests to feel beautiful and comfortable! Dresses and suits are acceptable to all events.

Where can I park?

Answer

On day 1 and 3, the venue will be the same. There are multiple parking garages in the city as well as street parking. The parking garages we recommend are: - Juniper and Locust 1327 Locust St. - E-Z Park 1309 Locust St. - Park America 1500 Walnut St. - Patriot Parking 1305 Walnut St. On Day 2 there will be a free parking lot available at the Gurdwara for all guests to park.

What hotels are recommended for guests?

Answer

There are several hotels in the city but we have blocked off rooms at several hotels as well. You can find this in the Hotel Blocks tab above.

Are events open to all guests?

Answer

Yes, all of our guests are invited to all three days! If you can't make it to something, all good! Just kindly note it in the RSVP.

All events will be indoors, but we can still hope for the best!

Are children allowed?

Answer

We understand it may be difficult for some families to leave their kids behind. We love your little ones, but due to space and logistics we’re only able to include the children who are part of the wedding party/immediate family. We hope you can still join us and celebrate!
