How tourists can enter Boracay from Manila

Boracay is approximately 200 miles south of Manila. To reach Boracay, you will take a domestic flight from Manila to either:     1.    Caticlan Airport (MPH) – Closest and most convenient option.     2.    Kalibo Airport (KLO) – A budget-friendly alternative, but requires a longer land transfer. Option 1: Manila to Caticlan (Best Option)     •    Flight Time: ~1 hour     •    Airlines: Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, AirAsia     •    Airport Code: MPH Upon arrival at Caticlan Airport, you will take a 10-minute land transfer to the Caticlan Jetty Port to board a boat to Boracay. Option 2: Manila to Kalibo (Budget Option)     •    Flight Time: ~1 hour     •    Airlines: Cebu Pacific, AirAsia     •    Airport Code: KLO Upon arrival at Kalibo Airport, you will take a 1.5 to 2-hour van/bus ride to Caticlan Jetty Port, followed by a boat transfer to Boracay. **There is a terminal fee when departing Caticlan and Kalibo Airport. This must be paid in cash. For incoming flights from Manila, it is included in the airfare. When you leave Manila on an international flight (upon departure) you will be charged terminal fee. You can pay this in Philippine Peso.** **Please visit this link**

Money Matters

There are ATMs on the entire island. Maximum withdrawal at one time is Php10,000.00 to Php20,000.00 per day. Foreign money (US dollars, Euros, Korean Won, Japanese Yen, etc.) can be exchanged at several locations around the island. It's worth checking around for the best exchange rate, as all places don't offer the same rate. Much better if you do the exchange in Manila airport before heading to the island. Major credit cards are widely accepted at resorts and restaurants. Safety deposit boxes for valuables are available in most resorts. ATM - Terminal Locations Metrobank & BPI - D'mall Area
BDO, PNB, BPI - Station 1, near Balabag Plaza
RCBC & Metrobank - Station 1, in front of Astoria Plaza
RCBC & BDO - City Mall

Travel Tips for a Smooth Trip

Book domestic flights separately from your international flight for flexibility. Use hotel-arranged transfers for a stress-free arrival. Bring cash for small purchases, as some places may not accept credit cards. Bring power adapter (Philippines uses Type A, B, and C plugs, 220V). Pack light beachwear, sunscreen, and water-resistant bags for boat rides.
