How we met

Third time's a charm

The first time Pam and Abe met was at Abe's gym. They both worked for LA Fitness in different locations, but Pam had to go to Abe's gym to train someone. When Pam went up to Abe to introduce herself and her trainee, he was a bit short and not very nice. This encounter did not leave a great impression. A year and a half later was the second time they saw each other, this time it was at Pam's gym. Abe had come to work out and Pam didn't even recognize him. Pam says that due to their first conversation, he didn't really leave a lasting impression on her, but it seemed she had left one on him. Pam noticed some employees talking to him and she was curious to know who he was. This time, they shared a smile. The third time is a charm. After seeing Pam at the gym, Abe added her on Facebook and sent her a chat apologizing for the way he acted the first time they met. After talking for a little bit, Pam agreed to go out for drinks. This is where they started to form their strong bond and have been inseparable ever since.

The Proposal

12/11/2020

A trip to the Dominican Republic was an experience they will never forget. Before they even arrived they knew that they wanted to have a beach dinner, but when Abe suggested having it the night they arrived, Pam was not so sure. After a day of travel, she just wanted to relax but little did she know, Abe was planning to propose. Having the dinner the first day of the trip would allow him to not worry about nerves, and getting the ring out of the luggage before Pam stumbled upon it. He agreed to dinner the next night, and the plans were in motion. Abe made sure that everything was in place, a private table, a photographer, someone to record, and most importantly the ring. They sat down for dinner and before they served the first appetizer, Abe told Pam that he has something to ask her. Right then, Pam knew what was going to happen next and she was shocked that she hadn't caught it before this moment. Then, nervously, Abe asked THE question. For anyone who knows Abe knows that he is rarely ever nervous. One thing that Pam likes to tease him about was that he didn't get on one knee, Abe will never live that down. Obviously Pam said yes and they were able to enjoy the meal and the rest of their dream trip. The next time Pam and Abe will be back in the Dominican Republic will be to celebrate with everyone as they say their vows!
