Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to send a "soft RSVP" via text to Tyler or Dominique by May 1. This soft RSVP does not bind you to attending, but it will help us gauge the potential size of the guest list. More details to come for a true RSVP with formal invitations.

Question

What happens if I don't RSVP in time?

Answer

If we do not get an RSVP back by the date requested on the formal invitation, your invite will be automatically marked as “Not Attending.” We will miss you celebrating with us, however, given this is a destination wedding, we have to plan headcount accordingly, and thus, we cannot accept late RSVPs. We hope you understand!

Question

Can I bring a date/plus one?

Answer

Unless specified on your formal invitation, we ask that you do not bring a guest. We will only allocate seating arrangements for the guests who RSVP.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

The wedding and all surrounding festivities will take place at Sandals Montego Bay. We recommend that all of our guests will join us in staying at our wedding venue. Please visit the "Travel" tab for more information on how to book. There is also another resort 5-10 minutes away, Sandals Royal Caribbean, that has complimentary shuttle transportation to the Montego Bay resort all day. Guests may choose to stay at this resort instead if they please.

Question

Do I have to stay at the same resort as the wedding?

Answer

No. There are many resorts in Jamaica, however unless you stay at Sandals Montego Bay or or their companion resort, Sandals Royal Caribbean, you will need to book your own transportation to the resort for the wedding.

Question

When should I book my room by?

Answer

Since this is a destination wedding, we highly recommend you book flights and hotel ASAP. However, we ask that you book your room no later than August 1st. Only a deposit is needed to reserve your stay, and the rest is not due until 60 days before your arrival date.

Question

How do reservation changes or cancellations work?

Answer

If guests need to make changes on their reservations, please note that they need to call the toll-free number on the sandals website to make the desired modifications and make sure they pursue an updated confirmation letter. If a resort cancellation is received more than 45 days before your check-in date you will receive a 100% refund, for cancellations between 45 and 31 days there is a 50% refund, and for cancellations within 30 days there is a 0% refund. If you fail to show up on the confirmed date, your full stay will be charged. Flight cancellations depend directly on each airline policy.

Question

How long should I stay in Jamaica?

Answer

We picked Jamaica for our destination wedding location as it is a fabulous vacation spot with so many things to do and see! Sandals does require a 3 night stay minimum, however, duration is truly completely up to you. We recommend arriving at least 1 day before the festivities begin to adjust to the Jamaican climate. Please note that the Welcome Party will take place on Friday, February 6th, so plan accordingly if you wish to attend.

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes, a passport is required when traveling to Jamaica. Please ensure that you have the proper documentation to ensure your travel goes smoothly. It is required that your passport be valid for at least 6 months from your return home date. To be safe, make sure your passport expires AFTER September 2025. If need be, please acquire a new passport or renew your existing passport before traveling to Jamaica. For more information, visit: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports.html.
