"Hi, silingan!"

July 23rd, 2019, Tearific, Kidapawan City.

They grew up in the same neighborhood, two ordinary teens who would often bump into each other at the internet shop, while crossing the street, or near the basketball court. They had no idea that God was already writing a love story about them. Well, maybe one of them had a clue haha because Lorenzo secretly had a crush on Pam. LOL. As time went by, life pulled them in different directions. Lorenzo studied in Davao City, while Pam was busy figuring out her path in college. Years passed. Lorenzo earned his degree and started working abroad. That’s when he finally gathered the courage to message her. “Hi, silingan! Kamusta atong brgy. diha?” he typed. Pam replied, half-confused, “Ha? Asa diay ka karon?” From there, the conversation flowed naturally and comfortably. After all, they’d known each other since they were young. When Lorenzo came home to the Philippines, they finally met again in person. They started dating and ordered a regular-sized milk tea, but destiny had other plans — it served them a full-blown love story, topped with extra sweetness and a little bit of cheese. Their love story wasn’t perfect — but it was calm, steady, and built on trust. For six long years of being apart, they proved that distance means so little when love is genuine. No storm could ever shake what they had, because they chose peace over pride, and understanding over arguments. Lorenzo knew that lowering his pride was better than losing Pam, and Pam learned that trusting him completely brought her peace of mind. While miles apart, they kept themselves busy — not with doubts, but with dreams. They spent those years building their future, praying for the day they would finally stand side by side at the altar. And now, that long-awaited day has finally come. After all the waiting, all the growing, and all the praying — Lorenzo and Pam are finally getting married. 💍
