We're Getting Married!

We met at Holy Cross when we were younger. We were both in the Usher Program and volunteered together growing up on Sundays. There was a time when I, Paloma, went to a different church closer to home in Carrollton (St. Catherine of Sienna). Our lives had crossed paths only when we were younger and we didn't know what God had in store for us. The summer of 2018, before we met again, had been filled with prayers on each side of finding someone who was sent by Him for us. We prayed to find companionship, love, adventure, excitement, and faithfulness in our future partners. Little did we know our prayers would be answered in the short months to come. Fast forward to October 14, 2018. The day after my (Paloma) birthday, it felt like fate pulling me to attend mass at Holy Cross. Not the 11 am mass and not the 5 pm mass at St. Catherine's. I had to be there at 1 pm. I attended with my mom that day and she was so happy to see all of her friends there and pointed out some of the other kids who had grown up in the usher program with me, including Cris. We caught glimpses of each other, waited for mass to end, and caught up outside of the church. Little did we both know, that our lives would be forever changed that day.
