FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Kindly RSVP by following the instructions on our ‘RSVP’ page by August 23rd.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Your invitation is addressed to those who are invited. If it includes a guest by name, then yes! We look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

While we love the children in our life, our wedding is an adults-only event. We hope you understand!

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

While the ceremony will begin at 4pm, we ask that you arrive by 3:45pm so you have adequate time to get settled.

Question

Is there parking available at the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking on site! After you park, walk towards the barn to find directions to the ceremony area. You may either choose to walk, or we will have a golf cart available for transportation.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We are not providing transportation to and from the events, but the ceremony and reception are in the same location and there is plenty of parking available. If you do not wish to drive, we suggest taking an Uber or Lyft. Please do not drink and drive.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal. For men, we suggest a suit, blazer, or button down with pants. For women, a dress, jumpsuit, or dressy separates would all work. We encourage you to dress up for the occasion, but more than anything, we want you to feel comfortable!

Question

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Pending in-climate weather, the ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outside, and the reception will be hosted inside the venue’s barn. If we experience poor weather, all events will be moved inside of the barn. When choosing your footwear, please keep in mind you will be walking on grass. There will be a golf cart available for those who would like assistance getting to the ceremony site. If there is rain in the forecast, bring your own umbrella.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After we say “I do,” we welcome you to join us for cocktails where we will serve beer, wine, cocktails, and light hors d’oeuvres. We will take our seats for dinner at 5:45 pm.

Question

What type of food will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

We will have light appetizers available during the cocktail hour following the ceremony. For the reception, the main meal options include a steak carving station, grilled chicken, potato salad, pasta salad with feta, garden salad, and corn bread. If you have any allergies, please let us know.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please feel free to reach out to Rachael and/or Ian regarding any allergies.

Question

What will be the drink options at the bar?

Answer

We will have an open bar available for the evening with a limited menu as well as a selection of non-alcoholic options.

Question

Can I smoke on the property?

Answer

The venue is a smoke free property. We hope you understand!

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are opting for an unplugged ceremony, meaning please do not take pictures/videos during the ceremony. A professional photographer has been hired to capture these moments - We strongly encourage you to take photos during the cocktail hour and reception!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the best present of all and we are lucky to have all that we need. However, if you would like to get us a gift, we have included a few items on the Registry page.
