Maid of Honor
Quite simply, Amy and I have been close friends for 18 years, the time it took for all our sons to become men. We met when 2 of our sons began Kindergarten in the same classroom, and we bonded quickly. We were shoulder to shoulder through the school years, the sports years, the family years, the happy milestones, and yes the scary and sad times, too. We even played soccer ourselves, in a women’s “league” for 3-4yrs, despite neither of us having played the game before. Amy drinks tea and I’m a coffee girl, but we never let differences like what to order at Dunkin come between us. Amy is literally the person I know without a doubt will show up if I call her late at night and ask her to drive me to the hospital (yes, I tested her on that) She is a best of friends and I’m so proud to have her stand up with me when Alain and I get married.
Best Man
My son, Nicholas, has grown up to be a most serious, kind and compassionate young adult. Despite the ups and downs of his young life, many of which we have gone through together, my son has managed to keep his humanity. Nicholas is currently on the path to pursuing his chosen profession, open to new and exciting challenges and generally following his dreams. I am very proud to have Nicholas as my son, but more importantly, as my best friend without which I likely would never have met my lovely Tara. I am honored to have him stand with me as my best man.
