Emily and Josh met in the fall of 2010 when Emily visited a high school youth group that Josh was hosting at his house. Though Emily and Josh went to different high schools, they quickly became good friends. They connected on so much - faith, family, adventure, humor, ambition, and FUN. Every summer during college and in the years after graduating, Emily hosted their group of high school friends at her lake house. These reunions were a great catalyst for Emily and Josh’s continued friendship throughout the years. In summer 2020, Emily moved to Chicago to start MBA classes. Josh had been living there for 4 years. While Josh had every intention at first of maintaining their friendship, he couldn’t help but quickly fall in love with Emily. A few months later they started dating, and after 6 weeks Josh knew he wanted to marry her. On an unusually warm day in October, Josh asked Emily to marry him and together build God’s Kingdom (video above). Emily and Josh are thrilled to be starting life together in 2022. They are so thankful for the role each of you have played in their lives, and are excited for you to be part of their wedding.
