Travel Note
We are so excited to celebrate with you in Mykonos! Here are some helpful travel tips to make getting there as smooth as possible: 1. Getting to Greece There are no direct flights from the U.S. to Mykonos, so you’ll need to connect through a major European city. Popular routes include flying into: • Athens (ATH) – Most common and often the easiest connection. • London (LHR), Paris (CDG), Rome (FCO), or Amsterdam (AMS) – Great if you’d like to add a quick European stopover and can be a cheaper option! 2. Connecting to Mykonos From Athens, you have two main options: • Fly – The fastest and easiest! A short 35–45 minute flight from Athens to Mykonos (JMK). Airlines like Aegean, Sky Express, and Volotea have multiple daily flights. • Ferry – A beautiful option if you’d like to see the Aegean Sea! Ferries depart from Piraeus or Rafina Port and take 2.5–4 hours depending on the type. Blue Star and Seajets are the main operators. (Tip: If you take the ferry, plan to arrive in Athens a day early — schedules can be affected by weather.) 3. When to Arrive We recommend arriving in Mykonos at least one full day before the wedding festivities begin — it helps you adjust to the time change and avoid travel stress. 4. Getting Around Mykonos • Airport to hotel: Taxis and hotel transfers are available, but book in advance — they fill up quickly. • Getting around: Taxis are limited, so consider renting a car, ATV, or scooter, or use pre-arranged transfers.
