Happily Ever After

We had been together for a few months already & things just seemed to be falling perfectly into place from the moment we started dating. It just so happened that we had earned three day tickets to Disneyland for doing community service at the Half Century Club in Lompoc & we were on our way to our first ever Disney trip together. We soon came to discover that we both shared the same passion for the happiest place on earth. We had an amazing time together exploring all the shops, riding as many rides as we could, & savoring all the delicious treats the park had to offer. It was the last night of our trip; after an amazing day of fun, we stood in front of the castle watching the fireworks glimmer. It was in that magical moment that we both turned to face each other and say "I love you" for the first time ever. It was at that very second we both felt & knew that we were destined to be together forever!

We were back at our special place, for a two day trip & having the most incredible time with our girls. It was the day before our daughter Winter's fifth birthday; day one of our trip & Disneyland was more magical than ever! It was our first time visiting during Christmas & we were so thankful to be sharing this moment with our children. As we ended our night with a final stroll down main street, we gazed up at the beautiful lights all around us, the faint sounds of Christmas music & sweet smells of candy filled the air. Sergio stopped to put his arm around me & admire the larger than life Christmas tree. We leaned into each other, Winter half asleep in her stroller & Zoey sleepily standing next to it. I drew in a deep breath of delight, we kissed, I grinned & said "let's go". He stopped me & told me to go ahead & look at the tree a little longer. As I took in all the splendor & beauty of this picturesque scene, I felt a sudden urge to turn around. There He was on one knee, his eyes gleaming, & he said "Will you marry Me, spend the rest of your life with Me?!" My eyes filled up with tears of joy; I couldn't help but grab his face, kiss him deeply & say "Yes!! Of course!!!" As he placed the ring upon my finger, I could see Zoey waking up Winter; the look of pure joy, surprise & delight on their faces, as they squealed with glee! It was the moment we had always wished for & at last our dream had come true!
