Depending on who you ask, the details may vary, but the sentiment remains the same, on June 30, 2015, our love was quite literally written in the stars.... Looking back, it all started with a destined online encounter and three weeks of technology-driven courting. Yes we are the modern millennials who found love online (insert le sigh). Well, plans had been arranged to meet the following week after Niko returned from some travels. However once travel plans abruptly changed, Niko found himself at home with nothing to do but obsessively stalk Drew. With his heart on his sleeve and a wish in his heart, Niko called Drew and broke the news he was unexpectedly going to be in town. “You wanna just get together tonight?” Niko asked. With a 102 degree fever, and after a long day of animal lifesaving businesssss, Drew exclaimed “why the heck not!” After hanging up the phone, Drew did 3 cartwheels and one flip. A few short hours later the two met on the sidewalk outside Niko’s Pasadena house and made way to Niko’s grand picnic in the foothills....and the rest is “her-story”! Just kidding! The night continued with a friendly game of “who can kick the rock the longest”, some flower picking, wine, a delectable spread of charcuterie, incredible conversation, and the subtle serenade of Peter, Paul and Mary. As the sun set, Niko and Drew were mesmerized with the surrounding beauty of nature [LA sunsets are hard to beat!] and what looked like a satélite in the distant sky. Sadly not too much later the night came to an end, but the spark had been born. The following day, Niko got a text from Drew that read...”So remember that light in the sky? That was actually the planetary alignment of Jupiter and Venus.” So as cliché as it may be, we always say..."That night, the planets moved for us and our love was written in the stars" [clearly written by --NIKO]

The reality is, "Niko is right" (a line he loves to hear)... we had a magical first date that was seemingly written in the stars. In addition to the stellar honeymoon phase, we’ve journeyed 3 incredible years of life together, with the infamous proposal I'm too scared to share details of for fear of jealous rage. Now, we are ready to proclaim our commitment and love for each other with our community. We couldn't be more delighted that you've chosen to share in one of our most special moments.
