Meet our loved ones who will be partying down the aisle with us!

Young Pak

Bride

Andrew Santangelo

Groom

Samantha Pak

Bridesmaid

Samantha is Young's baby cousin, but most importantly, the little sister that she always wanted. Growing up, regardless of the age difference, Samantha was and will always a part of so many of Young's best memories. - Samantha was the second diaper Young ever changed (Samantha's brother Nick was the first) - Young had the pleasure of taking Samantha to her first concert sans parental chaperone - There are many others that shall not be said on a public forum! - And now Young's greatest adventure yet, her wedding! Young loves you so much Samantha, and she is so incredibly proud of the woman she is becoming!

Ryan Curran

Best Man

Ryan and Andrew met as teenagers through a mutual friend. It only took a car ride to a Wings game at the Wachovia Center while listening to the newly released single by 50 Cent “In Da Club”, for them to become close friends. After 20+ years of friendship, Andrew still refuses to call Ryan by his first name and simply addresses him (and has him saved in his phone) as Curran. They both love sports, playing golf and combined can be the life of any party. With both of them having STRONG personalities and both a tad stubborn at times 😉, they have butted heads on a few occasions that have led to some funny and/or embarrassing stories, depending on who tells it 😁. Ryan and Andrew are straight shooters and have no problem telling you “how it is”. Neither one of then will sugarcoat what they mean and that genuineness is something they admire in each other.

Jen Kim

Bridesmaid

Jen is the friend that Young has known the longest. They met in 2nd grade at Joseph J. Greenberg Elementary school in Mr. Hendler's class. Jen was the first Korean person Young met while in school in the Northeast. Jen was shy and sweet, where Young was loud and a trouble maker. Proof of the whole "Opposites attract". Young still remembers the day Jen came to school in tears and told Young that her family was moving to Minnesota at the end of the year. Damn near broke Young's heart. The girls always joke that they are "twins" (fraternal obviously) partially because while in school together, their classmates were convinced that they were actual twins (borderline racism) but also for them, they had eerily similar lives before and after they met. Although their friendship endured long distance, heartbreaks and other conflicts, they still stand strong today. No matter what either of them are going through in life or where life has currently taken them, no matter how long they've been apart they ALWAYS pick up right where they left off, creating more memories. Thank you Twinny for blessing Young with your friendship and creating even more memories to look back on years from now. <3

Al Price

Groomsman

Andrew and Alfred met after high school through mutual friends in the neighborhood. Their love for the Flyers, Phillies and Eagles brought them together and they have continued to grow closer and closer over the years. They were roommates on two separate occasions and unlike most roommate relationships, they genuinely still liked each other even after living together. That alone tells you that they have a stronger bond than most. The majority of their time together is spent rooting for their Philly sports teams and shooting darts. They are also both extremely knowledgeable about movies and music. If you are ever playing trivia and the entertainment round comes up, you want them on your team (and you should probably double up that round too)!

Danielle Hauger

Bridesmaid

Danielle and Young met through the same person that introduced Young to her Maid AND Man of Honor as they all went to Highschool together. She is the other reason why Young is alive today (she is the 2nd part of the duo that saved her life, guests can ask Danielle about her side of the story). Danielle is like that wise-ass older sister that Young never had but always wanted. She will never beat around the bush and will ALWAYS tell the bride like it is. One of the many reasons that Young not only loves her for but also respects about Danielle. While they hung out a few times a month, Danielle and Young got close when she was living in Hawaii back in 2009. She is also known as "TJ Maxx Danielle" by the mother of the Bride (Mrs. Pak does not know any other Danielle's, but still calls her that). From boost and Bella's pizza runs, to car meets and sketchy parties, and both of us moving from SJ back to Philly, the countless memories and laughter that they have both shared will always be special to Young. Now that Danielle is a mom of two (her first is our flower girl and my self-proclaimed goddaughter), she knows that Young can rely on her for anything and that she can rely on Young for anything. Cheers Puch! They can't wait to be in the old folks home becoming new best friends everyday!

Carl Niblick

Groomsman

Carl and Andrew have known each other since elementary school. They are both from the same neighborhood and Carl being a couple years older and ahead of Andrew in school, they didn’t get close until high school. It was then their love for the Flyers, and just hockey in general, that their friendship began to flourish. From then on if there was a Flyers game on, you can bet that they were watching it together. They even attended the “last” Flyers game at the Spectrum. Much like how Dustin created monster when it comes to golf, Carl created a monster when it came to darts. When Carl would bartend while Andrew was on summer vacation from teaching, they would hang out and shoot darts for hours at a time. This eventually led to Andrew joining Carl’s dart team where they won back to back championships together. Outside of darts and other sports, they frequent the Poconos throughout the year where they enjoy fishing and sitting around the camp fire.

Jason "Jay" Pol

Man of Honor

Jay and Young were accidental friends, they met through an ex girlfriend of his. Unfortunately when Jay met Young, he was "uncomfortable" with her energy. The first thing he ever said to her was "Woah... can you bring it down to a 4?" She was WAY to rambunctious, loud and bubbly for his laid back vibe. She confidently told Jay that he was going to be her "best friend" which he laughed at, but here he is, standing as her Man of Honor. Back when they were in their early 20s, they had always talked about "The Dream": Leaving SJ moving out to Southern California and live a life out there, but as life would have it, they had a falling out. Young was living in LA and going through a hard time and one night, Jay popped up on Young's Facebook as a "Person you may know" She took this as a sign and reached out and Jay quickly responded, and BOOM, they picked up right where they left off. Nothing had changed. Young had fulfilled "The Dream" and Jay was living his in Florida. A few weeks later, Jay booked a flight to celebrate his 29th birthday out in LA a few months later and during his visit, they both knew they had one of those friendships that would last a lifetime. Although Jay lives in Florida now, and I am back in Philly, our friendship has lasted the test of time and more. He's still Young's best guy friend. Thank you for standing up there with Young!

Andrew Widamaier

Groomsman

Andrew and Andrew. The best part about 2 friends with the same first name is that neither one of them call each other by it. Hockey players tend to call each other by their last name, or some variation of it, and since the Andrews met coaching hockey, it was only natural that they eliminated first names when referring to each another. On top of their love, skill and knowledge for the game, they also share the same birthday, April 18th, and grew up just a couple miles apart. You could say this friendship was meant to be from the start. Even though Andrew, the groomsman, moved to Florida years ago, they have remained close friends and still see each other at least once a year for golf trips. When he got married last year, Andrew was by his side as the best man. They have the type of friendship where they can go months without talking and pick back up like they saw each other yesterday. The only thing that could possibly put a “gap” or “wedge” between these two is opening up the debate of who is the better hockey player and/or golfer.

Corsair Layton

Bridesman

We met at the Sunoco on 73 and Church Road. The conversation went something like this: Young: Hey... were you in Valley Glen a couple days ago? Corsair: Yeah I live there Young: ME TOO! Corsair: Take my number let's kick it The rest is history. We clicked about everything from Movies, to Pokémon to just being down to do anything and everything when we were bored. As crazy as it sounds, we only knew each other for a few months and then I was going to be moving out to LA. But everyone knows that a true friend, the distance, the time difference, does not matter, we could be living in different universes and we'd still pick up right where we left off. To this day, he is the only person that I will down a tequila shot for. Corsair is not a friend but a brother to me. We know we can count on each other, no matter how dumb the situation maybe. Our rule of thumb is: We celebrate joy together, we cry together, and we will ALWAYS support each other. I always know I can count on my brother, no matter the time, or place. If I need him, he will ride and die for me and he knows I will do the same. Thank you for being the hype-man I never knew I needed. Love you bro!

Dustin Ruiz

Groomsman

Dustin and Andrew have been friends for over 20 years. They met through a mutual friend and had so much in common that they ended up doing so many things together. Whether it was playing ice hockey, Texas Hold Em’, bowling, or darts, they are frequently active in some sort of competition. However, all of that is peanuts compared to golf. You can even say that Dustin created a monster. The first time Andrew ever went golfing was with Dustin. As they say, the rest is history. Between golf and darts, they spend the majority of their time together doing one and/or the other. Andrew was a groomsman in Dustin’s wedding to his wife Cait and is a "quasi-uncle” to their son Peyton, our ring bearer. Even though Dustin recently moved to Florida, they still remain extremely close.

Gianna Rae Hauger

Flower Girl

Self proclaimed God Daughter

Peyton Ruiz

Ring Bearer

Peyton is the "quasi-nephew" of Andrew

Nick Shirey

Usher

Nick and Andrew met coaching hockey almost 15 years ago. If you asked Andrew after the first time they met if he thought the two would still be friends after all these years, he would have replied: “Are you talking about the kid with the purple skinny jeans?!?!?”. But alas, here we are, and these two have had an awesome friendship since that fateful day on the ice when Andrew made of Nick for his coaching attire! Throughout the years, the two have spent a lot of time together on the golf course, the ice rink, and the dart arena 😉. Their love for Philly sports, 80s music, and the movie Major League make this unlikely pair, the most dynamic of duos. If you ever need a lifeline in trivia, these two would be the perfect phone a friend!
