From our senior trip to Tennessee, to every late night phone call. From Idlewild to USF. From our first date to our engagement. God has been so, so good to us. As they say, hindsight is 20/20, and as we look back at our journey together, it is exceedingly clear that His hand was over each and every step we took. Though we were immediately drawn to each other, God had so many lessons to teach us about what it means to love, truly love. As Paul writes in 1 Corinthians: Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. It's a tall order. No one can do it perfectly. However, over the past 4 years, God has prepared us for this calling. Not Perfection, but Patience, Kindness, and Forgiveness. This is the love we have learned from Him. Whether Paiyton and I are signing off our phone calls to each other, or saying goodbye at the end of the night, we always say this one phrase. "I love you always and forever, no matter what. Unconditionally, with my whole heart." If you are willing, please pray for us and our future together. We want to be a picture of the kind of love God has for us. This is our truest testimony. We love because He first loved us. - P & Z October 17, 2026
