Paul and Sarah both attended school at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor where they met for the first time. Paul remembers it well, sophomore year Stunt Night practice where he introduced himself to Sarah who was the cute class director. She gave him his number but she cannot remember this first encounter. Sarah remembers seeing Paul for the first time in the College of Business Office, where she worked and where he dropped off paperwork for her to file. Sarah and Paul were set up by a mutual friend and went on their first date to BJ's for pizookies. After their first two dates, Sarah was still unsure about Paul and ghosted him during Thanksgiving break but soon realized that he was a genuine, caring man who began to teach Sarah that she was loved and cared for. After they began dating, they both shared that they had not told anyone they had dated "I love you" and that they were waiting until they knew that they were going to marry that person before telling them those three words.
After a year of dating, Sarah was sure that Paul would be the man she was going to marry. On their first anniversary, she took Paul to one of their favorite star gazing spots and told him for the first time that she loved him. He said thanks.
On their second anniversary, after telling her several times that a proposal was not going to happen, Paul took Sarah to Mount Bonnell in Austin, TX to watch the sunset. While there, Paul told Sarah, "I love you," for the first time before dropping to his knee and asking her to marry him.
On their third anniversary, Sarah and Paul will stand in front of friends and family in Liberty Hill, TX and proclaim their love and commitment to each other and to the Lord.
