There will not be parking at the house. Once through the gate, proceed to the parking lot directly off of the first roundabout. The parking lot will have a sign. From there — a shuttle will pick you up and take you to the House Along the River. Both the ceremony and reception will be held there.
The ceremony will be held at 4. I would recommend mapping to the address a little early (shuttle seems like it could be a slight bottleneck in the plan, but we will make it work). The venue will open at 3 and be available for you to walk around and enjoy the property.
Pecan Plantation is a gated community so when you arrive just say you are there for the Wilkerson Wedding!
There’s no “official” dress code. Just keep in mind it’s outside and could include walking around the property. Comfy shoes would be a plus!
My Aunt Mary's House Along the River was born from her deep love of nature, nurtured in childhood as a Kansas farm girl. Her connection to the earth, shaped by family, loss, and healing, led her to create a place where people can find joy in simplicity and shared experiences. Through quiet moments and meaningful conversations, the house invites others to experience the joy and warmth that comes from connecting with nature and one another. Each time Stephen and I have visited we left with a feeling of connection both to the place itself and to each other. We are so appreciative of Aunt Mary and her willingness to share such a meaningful space with us. Now, we’re excited to pass that gift along by sharing it with the people we love most.
