Visiting Asheville!

The Wedding Website of Seth Rogers and Paige Baker
We wanted to share some of our favorite spots in the area for those visiting for the first time or even our fellow locals! Below you'll find some hikes, food and drink spots and some extra Asheville-y things!

Craggy Pinnacle Trail

3641 Blue Ridge Parkway, Barnardsville, NC 28709

Located off the Blue Ridge Parkway- it's a 1 mile out and back path. This hike gives beautiful views of the mountains and it's a great sunset spot!

Fryingpan Mountain Lookout Tower Trailhead

408 Blue Ridge Parkway, Canton, NC 28716

Located on the BRP, it's a 1.5 mile out and back path near Mount Pisgah. This hike does require walking up the tower stairs for a 360 degree view of the mountains but it's totally worth it!

Art Loeb & Black Balsam Knob Trailhead

Black Balsam Knob Road, Canton, NC 28716

This is a 1.4 mile out and back trail. The drive to the trailhead is completely on the Blue Ridge Parkway which allows you to stop at lookout points to admire all of the mountain views! The trail next to it, Sam's Knob, is where we took our engagement photos!

SWEETEN CREEK COFFEE

330 Sweeten Creek Road, Asheville, NC 28803

Cozy, local spot a little further south from the downtown area. Their coffee flavors here are always on point and their specials are always really good! Paige's favorite coffee here is an iced coffee with coconut and chocolate syrup with almond milk (tastes like an almond joy)!

Ava's Donuts

26 Carl Alwin Place, Asheville, NC 28803

Can never go wrong with these guys- so many delicious donuts! This was our "first date spot" where we did get 3 donuts each and eat them all in one sitting! Seth's go to favorites are the old fashioned and the chocolate frosted Bavarian cream and Paige's are the chocolate peanut and the chocolate frosted Bavarian cream, too!

Jettie Rae's

143 Charlotte Street, Asheville, NC 28801

Seafood restaurant for a nice date night!

12 Bones Smokehouse

2350 Hendersonville Road, Asheville, NC 28704

Great BBQ food and also has the 12 Bones Brewery attached to it that is a chill hangout spot both inside and outside with solid beers. This is located around the block from our work- where the party is being held!

Post 25 Kitchen & Lounge

2155 Hendersonville Road, Asheville, NC 28704

Located not far from the party! Love their food especially their burgers and tiger sauce! Local spot for food, drinks with inside restaurant/bar and outside patio/hangout in the front and back.

Auction House Food & Drink Hall

29 Fanning Bridge Road, Fletcher, NC 28732

This is probably the spot we are at the most! Since it's a food hall, they have different food menus. They also have beer/cocktails and a wine bar/coffee spot upstairs. You can sit inside or you can hangout outside. It's dog friendly for outside only and has a children's playground!

Anoche Asheville

176 Clingman Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801

Small cozy tequila-based cocktail spot located in the river arts district- not far from downtown!

Crave Dessert Bar

41 North Lexington Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801

Cocktails, desserts and snacks- everything here is very good! Located right in downtown so you can spend the day walking around shopping before heading in since they open around 5pm!

Burial Beer Co. South Slope Taproom

40 Collier Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801

Favorite local beer. Always has great options! Popular spot to hangout and dog friendly! They have another location called Forestry Camp that's south of downtown that is a cozy little hangout.

Wicked Weed Brewing's Brewpub

91 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801

Wicked Weed always has good beer and is an easy pick up option at the store because of their variety. They have their main spot in downtown that has food and drinks both upstairs and downstairs. They have a smaller location called Wicked Weed West that is an easy stop in for drinks and sometimes they have a food truck. The Funkatorium is also a top spot for food and drinks but they're mostly focused on their sours.

Highland Brewing Company

12 Old Charlotte Highway, Asheville, NC 28803

Big brewery spot- dog/kid friendly. Has inside bar and then a whole bunch happening outside- sand volleyball courts, a disc golf course, playground, the Meadow is a live music area/outdoor sitting area, and the have a climbing gym newly attached. Decent beers but lots of options and food trucks on site.

New Belgium Brewing Company

21 Craven Street, Asheville, NC 28806

Another favorite local spot for most people- dog and kid friendly. Lots of families will come hangout here for music and food trucks. Located right on the French Broad River!

DSSOLVR

63 North Lexington Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801

Located right in downtown. Has a cute little spot with great beers- tons of different styles. Vowl is attached right next door that is their cocktail bar. Totally recommend their sours! Plus they have a giant Larry standing inside!

Sierra Nevada Taproom & Restaurant

100 Sierra Nevada Way, Fletcher, NC 28732

Popular spot- big location. Has great drinks and delicious food! If you visit on the weekends, there is usually live music outside where they have two pavilions set up. They also have a little garden to walk through and bocce ball/cornhole games. Dog friendly outside and also family friendly.

Appalachian Mountain Brewery Taproom and Kitchen

46 North Mills River Road, Mills River, NC 28759

This brewery is a place we frequent often. Small inside but has a lot of outdoor seating space. Family friendly but you'll see most dogs here. Chill spot at anytime with good drinks and great food!

Blue Ridge Parkway

3884 Blue Ridge Parkway, Asheville, NC 28803

Love driving on the BRP- especially early mornings going south! You can get great sunrise views of the mountains and fog at Chestnut Cove!

Jeter Mountain Farm Apple Orchard

1126 Jeter Mountain Road, Hendersonville, NC 28739

Popular spot in the fall! Cute place to grab pumpkins/apples/flowers. They have the best apple cider donuts, a cute indoor market, an ice cream shop and cidery. Dog friendly and they have kid friendly activities. Beautiful place with tractor rides to the U-Pick farms!

The North Carolina Arboretum

20 Frederick Law Olmsted Way, Asheville, NC 28806

Easy trails and a good place to view the flower garden. Free the access besides paying for parking (per car).
