Do I need a passport?

Answer

YES. Please review your passport expiration date, renew or apply for a passport as soon as possible if you need. Please do not wait until the last minute.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Welcome Dinner- Resort Casual Think light, airy, beachy cocktail attire. This event will be outdoors, but not on sand or grass. WEDDING DAY - Resort Cocktail Attire For the ladies - Dresses of mid to long length are requested, with heels or dressy flats. The ceremony will be on sand and the reception will be on grass, so keep that in mind when choosing shoes. For the guys - Button-up, slacks/dress pant, and nice shoes, please. But if you're feeling fancy, feel free to wear a suit. Note: 1-2 of the restaurants on the resort do require a "dress code", as they are fancier restaurants. Men please bring a pair of closed toe shoes and pants if you plan to eat at one of these nicer restaurants.

Do I have to book my room through the travel coordinator?

Answer

NO, but it is RECOMMENDED. It is recommended to book through our travel coordinator to receive the discounted rate reserved for our guests. This travel agency has been hired to coordinate all of our guests' room reservations through our room block. However, you are more than welcome to book directly through the hotels website or through third party websites such as (Expedia, Hyatt points, etc).

When does my room need to be booked by?

Answer

When you select your desired room through the Wish to Wander website, you will see all important deadlines. It is $100 to reserve your room, we strongly encourage you to book and submit the $100 deposit asap in order to ensure the room of your choice is available. FINAL PAYMENT DEADLINE IS NOVEMBER 15, 2025. We CANNOT guarantee room availability beyond the listed deadline.

What is the difference between the Secrets and Dreams side of the resort?

Answer

This combined resort offers two experiences that are explained on the travel coordinator website: Wish to Wander. Secrets is adults-only and Dreams is family-friendly. Secrets guests have access to pools & dinning on both the Secrets & Dreams side of the resort. Dreams guests have access only to the pools & dinning on the Dreams side of the resort. However all guests will be able to access all planned wedding events. Please see the website under "BOOKING" for more details or do not hesitate to reach out to Paige with more questions.

Can we bring our children?

As much as we love your little ones, this is an adults only celebration.

How long should we make our trip?

Answer

A 3-night minimum stay is required through our room block through "Wish to Wander". We encourage you to make the most of your trip and enjoy as many days as you would like. Our room blocks are set all the way from March 25-29 but are flexible if you want to stay longer or arrive earlier. Any reservations outside of those dates must be arranged through Wish to Wander travel agency. If you wish to stay less days, you will have to book directly through the resort or another third party site.

Is it worth it to book a "preferred room"?

Answer

You will see on the Wish to Wander website what is included with booking preferred. There are upgrades in the suites but also gives you access to areas of the resort that are not open to guests who are not "preferred". Such as the adults-only roof top pool and breakfast restaurant at the club lounge. If you enjoy perks like that, we would recommend booking preferred. Do not worry, the pools and restaurants that are open to everyone are also INCREDIBLE!

Can I stay at a different hotel?

Answer

In order to attend our wedding festivities, including the welcome party, ceremony, and reception, all of our guests must stay on property at Secrets/Dreams Bahia Mita Surf & Spa Resort.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We will only be able to accommodate a certain number of guests at our events. Only guests formally invited on your wedding invitation will be accommodated. If given a plus one it will appear when you RSVP. If you’re unsure if you have a “plus one” please do not hesitate to reach out to Paige or Sergey.
