House Or Rental
This is where we are staying!! Robbie and Paige are covering this expense.
Flight
Paige always start with google flights. Its a great way to compare all airlines and airports quickly. I would recommend flying into Edinburgh or Inverness. Edinburgh will likely be cheaper. If you fly into Inverness, we will be about to pick you up and bring you to the house (20 min drive).
Rental Car
This is the cheapest option Paige has found. People can group together and split the cost! Robbie and Paige will be driving from Edinburgh up to Nairn, then doing a small road trip around Scotland after 7/31, and back to Edinburgh.
Rental Car
Website looks super sketchy, but this has been used and verified by my dear friend Rhian, who travels the UK annually.
Train
This is an option if you want to take the train from Edinburgh to Inverness. We will be able to pick people up in Inverness.
Train
This is an option if you want to take the bus from Edinburgh to Inverness. We will be able to pick people up in Inverness.
Travel Note
This is what Paige and Robbie are doing. Everyone is welcome to join for any part of this itinerary. For all items that needed booked, please add your name to the Travel Notes google sheet above so Paige can make a reservation.
Travel Note
Paige listed all the activities she and Robbie will be doing. MAKING RESERVATIONS: If you would like to join for anything, please add your name to the WHO IS JOINING column. Reservations are required for everything, including meals, as we are traveling during the tourism season. ARRIVING & LEAVING NAIRN: We don't want to lose any of our friends, but we know you are seasoned travelers. However, if you need pickup or drop-off, please add your name to the ARRIVING & LEAVING columns so we can coordinate. CARS: We will need several cars for everyone to get around. I would not bank on taxis or Ubers to be available in the Highlands. Paige and Robbie will have 5 seats to take friends while we are in Nairn. If you are planning to rent a car, THANK YOU! Please add your name and the number of seats you will have available to help. We'll have to figure out carpooling depending on what everyone wants to do, but that can be decided once we get there.
Travel Note
AMERICANS: 1) You will need a UK adapter for Scotland. I wouldn't bother bringing a hairdryer, it will likely blow the fuse. 2) The UK might be issuing vias for us. I will monitor the situation and let you know if we need to get one ASAP. 3) The UK drives on the left side of the road. 4) If you plan to do anything, you should try to make a reservation several weeks in advance to make sure tickets are not sold out. Restaurants you can probably get a away with a few days before.
