That's right, it's finally happening! We're making it official and we want YOU there! What's that? You're wondering what a "marriage celebration" is? Well my dear friends and family, it's a stripped-down, no-frills-and-fuss, I'm-here-for-the-party-and-food kind of wedding. Just our closest family and friends, a beautiful setting just outside of our favorite place on earth, some food, drinks and, of course, tunes. So leave your wedding industry expectations at home and meet us there! xoxo, M & P
You've all heard this story by now, so we'll spare you the details. The cliff notes version includes a 4th of July family BBQ at Matt's house in Lynnwood, a girl who was easily impressed by protein powder and workout equipment, a fireworks show in Edmonds and a nervous guy asking for a girl's number at the end of the night.
Our love story has always been anything but ordinary. Some of our best inside jokes now are about our trivial (and not so trivial) tribulations earlier on in the relationship. That's what we think makes us awesome - we never stop laughing together (we basically have our own language sometimes). And being super in love with nature and outdoor activities definitely helps! But the most important thing is really our partnership. For the first few years we would occasionally ask each other "are you my get-through-anything person?" But after a few years we stopped asking each other that, because it was abundantly clear that we were. We are convinced that there is no mountain too tall when we tackle it as a team. Oh what, that's nauseatingly lovey-dovey? Yeah, we're those kind of lovebirds too, and we're not ashamed of it. Somehow we love each other more as time goes on. It's kind of like perfecting a recipe in the kitchen. The first time you put it together, you know you're on to something great. And then with each subsequent trial, you customize it a little bit at a time to make it better and better. And then once you've played with all of the ingredients and tweaked it so that it's just right for both people, voila! Perfection. But who are we kidding, we aren't perfect, no one is. Which is another special bond that we share, we know and acknowledge that love can be hard, and we're willing to keep working at it until we get all of those ingredients fine-tuned again. Ok ok, enough of that. Basically, we both thoroughly believe that life is all about spending time with the people you care about and the fun will naturally follow. So thank you for being those people and for bringing the fun to our lives. We look forward to having a weekend with all of you crazy, awesome ingredients all in one place ;) <3
