We’re really doing it!

Paige and Marc played on a co-ed softball team in the summer of 2018. Marc was shy and didn’t talk much because he didn’t know many people on the team. Paige never noticied him because he was so quiet. The next year in 2019, Paige and Marc played on another co-ed softball team together. It rained a lot that summer and there were many rain outs. On one of the rain out days, the team decided to do a Sunday Funday bar crawl. With the help of a little liquid courage, Marc finally decided to ask about Paige. He pulled Paige’s friend, Robbie, to the side to ask about her. The next thing Paige knew, Robbie was walking up to her with the biggest smile on his face. Robbie said to Paige, “Marc thinks you’re cute.” Paige was so shocked thinking “Really? Me? He thinks I’m cute?” Marc then came up to Paige and finally initiated conversation. They spent the entire night talking together from bar to bar getting closer and closer. The two were so wrapped up in each other it was like there was no one else in the room. They have been inseperable ever since that night.

Much to Paige’s surprise, Marc had been planning his proposal for months. While Paige was working, Marc was preparing and planning. He was incredibly sneaky and Paige was totally oblivious. Marc was lucky to have some help from Paige’s mom, Terri when picking out the ring. Terri also helped out by inviting Paige and Marc to dinner one Friday night. Paige had no idea that Marc actually set up the whole dinner himself. Paige’s parents have been trying to plan a dinner with Marc’s parents for so long that Paige was not suspicious at all when they all finally got together. Marc planned every last detail perfectly. He even had one of Paige’s best friends take her to get her nails done the day before the proposal. When Friday night came, Paige told Marc that she was nervous for dinner and the families meeting. He was thinking “how can she be nervous!?! Im so nervous!” Marc and Paige arrived at the Morris Country Club for dinner. Paige’s parents and nephews were there waiting. Paige could tell Marc was nervous, but she just thought he was anxious that his parents wouldn’t be able to find the back room they were in. When Marc’s parents and brother arrived, Marc met them outside while Paige was distracted with her nephews and what to order for dinner. Marc’s mom brought Paige’s nephews viewmasters and some sticker books. This was part of Marc’s “theme” and Paige had no idea. After everyone ordered dinner, Marc pulled out a special viewmaster for Paige. The viewmaster had pictures of Marc and Paige and the last slide said “Paige Michelle will you marry me?” Paige was in total shock and couldn’t believe what was happening. Of course she said yes! It was the most perfect proposal and both families were so excited for Paige and Marc and witness this special moment.
