You now need a travel permit/visa to enter Italy, known as an ETIAS travel authorization. If you are renting a car, look into getting an International Drivers Permit.
You can arrive any time after 4 pm on September 16. Check-out will be at 11 am on September 21.
Outside of the wedding dinner and farewell breakfast, guests will be responsible for their own meals during the trip. Each apartment is equipped with a kitchen, making it easy to prepare simple meals, and there will also be plenty of wonderful local cafés and restaurants nearby to enjoy. We encourage everyone to explore and experience the amazing food Italy has to offer!
The villa is not within walking distance of town, so transportation is something to keep in mind when planning your stay. Certaldo is a closeby main town, 10 minutes by car from Casa Renai.
It is up to you how you choose to get around during your stay. Having a car will likely make your time at Casa Renai easier as you will have more freedom since the villa is not in walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants, etc. This being said, we will have more than enough cars on site to ensure you have everything that you need and have a comfortable stay. Please let Liam or Paige know if you are planning alternative transportation so we can pick you up from the train station to welcome you and bring you to the villa :).
Local rental companies based in Certaldo (10 minutes from Casa Renai) offers a convenient car delivery and pick-up service directly at Casa Renai. This service is more expensive than standard airport rentals, but very practical for guests who prefer to rent a car only on specific days during their stay rather than from the airport. The villa costs $105 CAD per night per person, or $450 CAD for the full 5 night stay. You can e-transfer whatever your amount to paigeslight9@gmail.com
