If you're looking for a great place to rent a bike and cruise down the bike path in Tahoe city or rent a mountain bike for the tons of trails they have located in and around the lake, Olympic Bike is where it's at! They have a great selection and are super friendly....(Our friends Sam and Molly work there so be sure to say Hi ;-)
This place is located in downtown Tahoe City. They are a fancier restaurant so if you're looking for an amazing dinner experience with a gorgeous view I would recommend making reservations. If you're just looking for a glass of wine and apps they also have a great sand bar with wine and beer selections. I would recommend calling though because the Sandbar is weather dependent and you never know what you're going to get, weatherwise, in May!
This is a favorite hike of Paige's dad, Byron. It's a quick 10 minute (steep) hike with gorgeous views of the West Shore. Located in Homewood, there is a pull-off to the right side of the road with a trail sign leading the way to the top!
A must-see for anyone's first visit to Tahoe! Home of the 1960 Winter Olympics, Squaw Valley is a favorite ski resort of Paige and Lee's in the Winter and an awesome place to explore any time of year! You can buy a ticket to go to the top of the mountain via a gondola, or you can explore the shops and restaurants located in the Squaw Valley Village. Shirley Lake Hiking trail is also a great option, depending on the amount of snow still left on the ground!
