It's in the name! In downtown Joshua Tree attached to Art Queen. Several other cute little shops and mini art galleries right along this strip.
Favorite stop in JT! Insane thrifted screenprinted shirts and banners along with crocheted goodies, made by local artist Shari Elf. Half of my wardrobe is from here. Attached to the Crochet Museum.
Kitschy roadside beauty museum attached to a working hair salon. On the same little strip as Art Queen and a few other cutie shops and mini galleries.
Super cool gallery and gift shop - located right next to the Big Dez.
Alien-inspired site built to house a life extending machine, and more impressively a perfectly acoustic dome built with no nails. If you want to visit inside, you book an insane soundbath. But they fill up quick so you need to book months in advance.
Quirky vintage shop and boutique in a little strip of cool shops in Yucca Valley. A fun stop on your way out of town.
Boho decor and gorgeous local jewelry. Dream home inspo. Next to The End and a fun record/tiki store called Hoodoo.
Gotta go. Scramble around crazy rock formations and take peace sign picks in front of 200 year old Joshua Trees. No, it's so magical. Extend your trip and camp! Books up early.
If you want to experience Joshua Tree National Park without waiting in line or paying (but let's support our parks!), this little oasis walk lies just outside. Spoiler: there's no water, but its a beautiful little palm oasis and a sacred site for the local tribe.
Another just-outside-of-the-park activity - an open nature center where you can wander around art installations, a scale model of the solar system, and a zen garden.
If you’ve got an extra day or two, Palm Springs is just an hour away —think poolside lounging, vintage shopping, the aerial tramway, and iconic mid-century design. Soak in a little desert glam before heading home.
