Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston
Enjoy the Christmas Village at Bayou Bend. You can get tickets to see just the village or the historical home.
Memorial Park
Memorial Park is one of our favorite places to visit. With its scenic walking trails, lush greenery, and festive atmosphere, it’s the perfect place for a relaxing winter stroll. There is also a reasonably priced golf course and driving range. Check the park’s calendar to see if any Christmas events are going on; most park events are free.
Houston Museum of Natural Science
One of our first dates was to the Rice University MBA Gala held in the Dinosaur exhibit of the museum. We also recommended visiting the Oil and Gas exhibit on the 4th floor.
Handies Douzo
This is our favorite sushi place. We recommend the 3 hand roll set and the sake crudo.
Flora
This is our favorite restaurant for celebrations. Their carajillo is our favorite cocktail. When we started dating, I asked the bar tender to show me how to make it so I could surprise Josh with the drink during a home cooked meal.
Tiger Den
When the weather is chilly, this is our go to ramen house. Josh has been coming here since college.
POST Market (Food Hall)
Josh’s favorite vendor is Yo Yos hot dogs. Paige’s favorite vendor is East Side Kings. Enjoy the Christmas light displays on the roof.
