Travel Note
Your GPS will have no trouble getting you there, however it may route you down a gravel road if you're coming from the metro-Atlanta area. South bound travelers shouldn't have an issue. If you would prefer to avoid the gravel road, follow these instructions. - Take I-85N to I-985. - Follow I-985 until it turns into State Route 365/US 23 N just north of Gainesville (you'll pass a Racetrac gas station on your right) - Follow SR365/US23 for roughly 30 miles until you take the Toccoa/Lavonia exit for US123/HWY17/SR365 on your right (if you go past this exit, your GPS is taking you down the gravel road) - Take this road for about 7 miles. At the bottom of the big hill, take a left at the traffic light towards Toccoa on US123/W Currahee Street. There will be a gas station on your left, Currahee Mountain directly to your right, and a big hill straight ahead of you. - Once you're into Toccoa, you'll take a left on S Broad Street just past Acree Oil Co., and a Dollar General. - Go two blocks and take a right on W Tugalo Street. - Go about four blocks up the hill and take a left on Prather Bridge Road just past the First Baptist Church. - Take a left on Camp Mikell road. There will be a sign! - Follow Camp Mikell road until it dead ends into Camp Mikell. Registration will be up the hill to the right when you arrive at the entrance.
