Edonis, or Mikey as many people know him, and I met on Snapchat while we were both in high school, my freshman his sophomore year. For the longest time I was so afraid to talk to him in person. I would talk to his friends and see him passing to go to his classes but for some reason I was just too nervous to verbally say anything to him. One day in February of 2019 he walked up to me and said “so what you’re too good to talk to me in person?” It made me giggle and the first words out of my mouth were nice shoes, the shoes I noticed he wore every single day despite having holes in them. To this day I still don’t know why that was the first thing to come out of my mouth but it was. We started to talk more and more after that until summer school came around and he had asked me to be his girlfriend. On June 21, 2019 we officially became a couple and I was over the moon. We quickly became inseparable, spending every single free moment we got together. A few years later, and several on and off break ups, I moved in with Mikey, I was ecstatic. We went on so many dinner and movie dates and didn’t have to worry about anything.. or so we thought, we had broken up again but not because of us but an ultimatum given to him by someone not so important anymore. We continued to talk knowing it could end very badly, which it did. He was forced to move out, I was heartbroken for him I felt like a horrible person but he quickly picked me up and made me feel so much better. Since then we decided that it would be us against the world and nobody could get in the way of that, so we decided it was time for us to venture out and move on our own. August 10, 2024 we made the move to Rockport, Tx in a little rv and shortly after we got a 2 bedroom apartment in Aransas Pass. I am so blessed that I met Mikey. He is my life, my light in the darkest times, my whole heart and world. I couldn’t imagine life without him. I can not wait to be Mrs Alvasoto.
