ARE KIDS INVITED?

Answer

Due to venue restrictions and in order to allow all guests, including parents, an evening of relaxation we have chosen for our wedding day to be an adult only occasion. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to share our big day and will enjoy having the evening off!

WHAT’S THE DRESS CODE?

Answer

Attire should be whatever makes you comfortable. It will likely be warm, so tuxedos will not be necessary! One thing to note is for the ladies... There are gravel walkways and lots of grass so heels are not recommended.

CAN I BRING A DATE?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

What are the roads like at Shenandoah Woods?

Answer

This is mountainous property. The public roads are paved. However the roads in Shenandoah Woods are gravel or hard packed dirt surfaces. You may experience potholes, ruts, steep inclines and rough terrain. Most vehicles have no trouble accessing the properties as long as you drive safely and slowly. We do not recommend low profile vehicles such as sports cars for Old Wagon Lodge, Sunridge Retreat and Fern Bank Cabin.

Where do I check in?

Answer

If staying at Shenandoah Woods, there is not an office onsite. Guests are provided directions and combinations. You may let yourself in when you arrive.

What is provided in the Shenandoah Woods vacation rentals?

Answer

Sheets, towels, blankets, pillows, toilet paper, and paper towels are provided. The kitchens have hardware like plates, glasses, flatware, pots, pans, coffee makers, etc.

Is smoking allowed in the Shenandoah Woods' vacation rentals?

Answer

There is no smoking permitted inside our properties. Cigarette butts are not to be thrown on the ground and any other smoking related waste is to be properly extinguished and immediately disposed of after use.

Will guests encounter any wildlife?

Answer

Wild animals share the Shenandoah Valley and our property. You may see deer, bear, raccoons, foxes, skunks, snakes, etc. Feeding or disturbing the wildlife is prohibited. Do not leave food and trash outside unless your property has outdoor trash containers. Please use caution and common sense.
